Hi all,

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've been looking through the forums and on the Canadian immigration website and can't seem to figure out answer...

I'm going to be visiting Canada this April as part of a road trip from the US, that ends in Canada (we are flying into Washington DC, then driving round to Niagara and dropping the car, before crossing the border into Toronto and then continuing from there). I'll be in America for 2 weeks, and then Canada for 2 weeks. (I will be applying for an ESTA for the US part).

I've crossed the border on foot before at Niagara, but this was before the new rules, so a bit confused!

I understand there is a new ETA system, but because we aren't flying into Canada we are not eligible for it. Does this mean we only need our passports? Or we need something else?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Best,

Abi

1. Just your passport, funds, and proof of onward transport out of Canada, assuming you are from a visa exempt country.
