Hi,

My name is Akhil Mohana Balachandrakumar and recently I received COPR and visa stamped to passport. We are planning to land by February 2018. Myself along with my wife and my baby are panning to land Toronto. As my baby is only 4 months old we would like to bring my parents for looking after my baby for the first 6 months. Since both me and my wife have to look for job after landing there, we can't opt for supervisa. So I was wondering whether we can bring my parents along with us for 6 months in visiting visa.

Thanks ,
Akhil

Others can comment but it can be a challenge to get a visit approved for 6 months upfront, most people succeed asking for a few weeks as a start point.

. Also strange as it might sound not advisable to use the reason of looking after a child as the main reason as that could be considered work, keep reason as visit when applying, what happens when they are in Canada is up to you/ them.

Agree with Bs65.

IMO, there are almost zero chances of your parents getting TRVs based on the details you have posted:
1. Visit of 6 months (and you would most possibly seek to extend their stay as you want your parents to be babysitters while you look for work/after you find a job)

2. Visiting to take care of your baby = Working illegally on a TRV = TRV refusal

3. To IRCC, it would seem like your parents are *landing* with you to live in Canada as pseudo-PRs whilst on TRVs

I suggest you and your wife must first land.... establish yourself (find a job, place to stay, earn an income, etc) before your parents attempt to apply for TRVs
