Hi! I'm looking to hire a nanny (live-in/out) via the caring for children stream (former live-in caregiver program). I've read the relevant info on the cic and esdc websites; however, am looking for any advice on improving chances of getting a positive LMIA. I understand that I should indicate that the live-in option is not a requirement and advertise this job to Canadians for 4 weeks. Is there anything else I need to know to increase the chances of a positive outcome??? I'll do all paperwork myself, so I can't rely on an agency to help me with a LMIA application.
As a side note - I called Service Canada today and they said on average it take 8+ weeks to process LMIA. Is this accurate information?
Thank you
