Hello everyone,

I got nominated as a Provincial Nominee (BC) on August 2018 and submitted the Permanent Residency application in October 2019.

I moved to the US with my spouse in December 2018. I have my Post Graduate Work Permit valid till October 2020. My spouse did his MSc in the the US and thus does not have a work permit in Canada. I am confused about the following issues:

1. If I want to apply for bridging work permit while my PR application is being processed and I am working in Canada, what is the minimum period I have to work in Canada?

2. While my PR application is being processed, can I apply for my spouse’s work permit? I am the Primary Applicant and my spouse is Dependent Applicant.

Many thanks in advance!

I got nomination and letter of support from NB province. Applied open work permit which is still under processing ( July 15th application submitted online). But my nomination is going to expire by the end of Oct 2019. Seem the application will get processed mostly Nov month based on Current processing applications date in CIC site. Should i need to get extension to nomination ?
