Hi guys,

So i received an ITA at draw #55. I'm preparing my application and planning to submit mid April. I'm currently working in Canada on an open work permit. My work permit will be expired in July this year. I plan to apply for a bridging work permit after i submit my PR application (under CEC category). My question is how long is bridging work permit good for. Is it one year?

I'm currently 3 months pregnant and cannot complete the full medical exam. I will do the x ray after giving birth in September. I understand that CIC will not be able to process my case until all medical test results are submitted. I'm just hoping that my bridging work permit can allow me to maintain my status in Canada to continue to work, give birth to baby in September, go on maternity leave and receive my maternity benefits/employment insurance.

Any insights are greatly appreciated.
