Bridging work permit inquiry help please

Hi all
I need to inquire if I am eligible for Bridging OWP
My current work permit is expiring in June and I got an extension of my job from current employer for 2 months till August end.
After August I will be likely joining another institute for an extended time. My express entry invite came through in March end and I will submit all documents by April end.
I have offer letters from both places but on LMIA assessment from the new employer where I will start in September, they r in the process but it can take some time.
Can I apply for Bridge OWP, if yes do I need LMIA assessment from the new employer. Will appreciate any inputs

Do you have LMIA for your current job? Is your current work permit open or closed?
If you have LMIA and a closed permit, you can't apply for BOWP. You need to apply to extend your current permit.
If you have a open work permit at the moment, you can apply for BOWP after you submit your EE application.

Once your new employer gives you LMIA, you need to apply for closed permit as well.

No you can't. You need to extend your permit for your current employment and apply for a new closed permit for your new job
