I'm having some issues navigating the online application process for a bridging open work permit through MyCIC.
I've applied for PR under the CEC and received my AOR a few weeks ago. I am currently living/working in Canada and my work permit expires just under a month from now.
I've had some difficulty navigating through the correct questionnaire / series of answers. When I answer that I want to move to Canada permanently, for example (which i am obviously in the process of) it sends me to the Express Entry application (which I don't need as I have already applied for PR).
When I answer "Temporarily - more than 6 months" I do get to the Open Work Permit option, but the supporting documents ask for a travel itinerary/ plane ticket receipt, which is required - A copy of your plane ticket/booking or proposed rout of your journey (for leaving? arriving? I have already been in Canada more than two years..) It also asks for a digital photo. These documents seem to differ from the mail-in application requirements.
Has anybody else applied for their Bridging Open Work Permit online recently? Any tips on what i'm doing wrong?
Any help on walking through the process is welcome - thanks!
