Hello Guys
Hope everyone is doing well
I have received my ITA to apply for PR under CEC on May 1st 2020
I have started collecting documents and almost ready to upload everything
Although my existing work permit is set to expire on June 6 2020
I want to apply for BOWP but I'll need AOR
I am currently waiting for Indian PCC (rest all documents are done)
Can I apply for BOWP after the expiry?
Or should I apply for visitors visa and once I have AOR I can apply BOWP
Any suggestions?

you cannot apply for BOWP after expiry, you need to have AOR and apply for BOWP before your current work permit expires.

Ok
But I don't think I'll get AOR before my work permit expires

What are my options then to stay in Canada?
You have no options, you must apply for a BOWP before your WP has expired or you'll be in the country illegally.

You must leave the country unless you change your status to visitor.

And not you will not be able to apply for a visitors visa and then apply got BOWP, because your current work work permit will have already expired and that makes you ineligible for a BOWP.

Sorry but it seems you'll have to leave the country while your application is being processed, probably before even submitting your application. Given the current scenario it's very likely you application will take over 6 months to be processed and that'd mean you'll have to leave the country even if you stay as a visitor. Also, if you don't leave that'll likely mean your application will be refused for being in the country illegally. You'll be expected to inform IRCC about your address change since your status is due to expire soon.

Thank you for your insights

So can I apply for visitors visa from inside Canada?
And wait in the country until I get my PR
I won't be able to work but are there any other disadvantages for just being on visitors visa?

Not being able to work, not qualifying for provincial health insurance, and must leave after 6 months.... If your application takes longer you'll have to leave anyway
