Bridge Work Permit

Hello..

I am desperately looking for some advice on my situation. Highly appreciate if any one of you could help me.

My current closed work permit is valid till July 2018. But I am maxing out ( 5 years in ICT WP ) this Sep 2017.
I have my PR application filed on April 3rd. If my PR process is not complete before Sep 2017, will I have
to go out of the country as i saw a rule that I am not eligible to apply for Bridge Open WP since my current Closed work permit is valid till July 2018. and i can apply for Bridge WP only within 4 months of current WP expiry.. Since i will max out in Sep 2017 i will not meet this criteria. It seems weird. I am hoping someone can help me with this please..

Your current work permit is valid till 2018, which means u can stay and work till 2018.
Ideally u should get to know about your PR status by October keeping in mind 6 months timeframe.
I guess, the condition is that you can apply for bridge permit only when your work permit is valid for the next 4 months or less.
