Bridge Open Work Permit

Hello,

I recently applied for PR and I have not yet received AOR. I am wandering if I can apply for open work permit and mention Applied for PR. My current work permit is expiring in Dec 2013
 
When did you apply for PR ?
 
You will get aor before end of sep. So just wait
 
My problem is that company has asked me to go back . So I am thinking if I can apply for OWP and get in 30 days. I can stay here longer.
 
As per my understanding, you can explain your situation in the explanation letter along with your BOWP application. There are couple of members who applied before AOR & well before their work permit expiry. Unfortunately I don't remember their names. You can search for them in below topic:

Your company can't legally send you back. You can stay for the time your work permit or trv is valid.

Yes, it worked before they got AOR because by the time someone processed the BOWP application
the VO issued AOR.
It's totally up to the VO to approve or deny applications made by individuals not meeting the requirements.

Lets say scenario..you ll get AOR end september apply to OWP, ll get it for two month so by december you ll have it ..no worries..

You are authorized to stay in Canada until your WP validity even if it was closed to your company. I assume since you want to stay here, you are ready to quit your company. So just do that instead of applying for BOWP now and risking $150. You can apply for BOWP once you get the AOR.

Dear iam_toby,

I just applied for PR on Aug 1, 2019 and Bridge Open Work Permit on Aug 2, 2019 and my Post Graduate Open Work Permit is expiring on August 8, 2019. I understand that i can work here on implied status until decision is made on my work permit application. I want to know as my SIN # is also expiring, do I need to report to Service Canada and also report to CRA for any income received on my account. Please advise.

Hi Sir,

I just applied for PR with CEC category (NOC B job) on August 1, 2019 and bridge open work permit on August 2, 2019 and my work permit has expired on August 8, 2019. I am on implied status right now. If I want to change the job now of NOC C category and will it affect my PR application and do I need to report to immigration?

Please advise. Thank you so much.
