Hi Guys, Currently, I am on Bridge open work permit till Oct 28,2016. Because, I have applied for permanent residence in 2014 and still waiting for the final decision (it has been a long time). I extended my work permit last year which is valid till Oct 28(going to expire soon). I'm thinking to apply again for an extension but, I think CIC questionnaire has changed a little because i cannot get a personal reference code. After I answered all questions, it says "You cannot apply at this time. You must have a Labour Market Impact Asssessment issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC." But, I have already applied under Canadian Experience Class in 2014. I am not sure that if I need LMIA document to apply for an extension. And, I think it will be little hassle for me to get it. Wouldn't the Acknowledgment letter of permanent resident application be enough to apply ? Please help .
