Brazilian Visa Refused Ticket Already Bought !!!

hello there

I'm a canadian citizen and i met a brazilian girlfriend when i was down there in march. i wanted to show her around canada in August but her request for a Canadian Temporary Visa was refused due to she only has a part time job. the problem is i have already bought a non refundable round trip ticket!!! this is the first time i've done anything like this and didn't think it would be such a problem if i was sponsoring her while she was here. what if she tries to enter canada with no visa? is it better than loosing the ticket or will she definetly be refused. what i'm trying to say is, is there any way she might be allowed to enter if she just shows up? until then we will try to re-apply. Please help :'(

1. If she shows up at the airport without a visa, the airline will not board her, as they will be responsible for returning her to Brazil and could have to pay a fine.
2. Even if she made it to the Border, she would be reported and turned right around.
3. Looks like you are going to "eat" the cost of the ticket.
