Submit proof of ties, that is a letter from your school saying you are enrolled or a letter of employment. Ask for only two weeks when applying, usually that is the amount of time people in steady jobs/school get for vacations for the holidays. Be clear on what you will be doing and be sure your bf is clear on how much funds he has to sponsor you as well as having enough to afford a nice vacation while you are staying (I would say at least 1k CAN per week just to be sure).

It will be hard for you because you're from Philippines, and you have no job, no travel history, no assets, and limited funds.

hi Thanks for the reply.Btw yeah were going to say that im going to stay there for about 2 weeks, But its that mean that my visa will expire in 2 weeks? i mean i cant stay longer or extend it? coz ive heard that even if i say that im staying there for 2 weeks ,i can stay there up to 6 months. i am right?

will it make any difference if applicant was from a country like Singapore, Japan Australia with same profile (no job, travel history, assets and travel funds? definitely NO...point is it shouldnt be country specific...

No because they look at the fact the applicant has nothing to go back to as part of it. You need lots of reasons to go back. No job, no money, no property is not a reason to go back.

If there was a good job, property it might work. It worked for my wife and I, but from all that I have read we seem to be part of the few, not the majority.

But it is country specific, that's why countries like Japan and Singapore don't require visas to enter, but countries like Philippines do, ever wonder why that's the case?

Anyway, the point is, the OP has nothing to go back to, other than family, no travel history, and has no jobs, no money, no assets, nothing else to bring her back to Philippines, so the chances of refusal are very high. It's not impossible of course, and I never said it was impossible, I'm just saying its very high. She can go ahead and try, but unless she starts getting a job, have money, start travelling to more countries, she will have a hard time getting into Canada as a visitor.

To the OP: Yes it's possible if you're successful getting the visa they can extend up to 6 months, they can even decide to shorten your length of stay, its up to the officer to decide, and they determine your length of stay based on your situation.

Well all I can say is, try for it. Come back here if you're successful or not.

Hi i really appreciate it that you give me time.
Can i ask a question?

1. when im there im going to stay with him and his family. Do i need the copy of their land title to prove that theres a house that im going to stay? and it is okay if that house property is on his father ?

Well the problem I see here is that you're JUST getting your name on the family business, meaning CIC might think you did it just to improve your chances of coming here. They'd probably want to see that you've owned the business for some time, not just suddenly add your name to the business, unless you guys just recently opened the business, now that's different. There are many GCMS notes of rejected applicants I've seen where CIC doesn't like it if they look at someone's assets, and it looked as if it was a recent large deposit, or a recent large business/asset acquisition, they will think those were staged.

You also haven't mentioned your travel history, that's very important to CIC as well. Not having any history will hurt your chances.

No job will also hurt your chances, is there a letter from your parents saying that you're an active member in the family business?

And also, if your boyfriend has $2000, but you have $0, that will lead to a high chance of refusal, due to lack of funds. I don't see how he could send you some money for you to have in your person when he doesn't have that much himself.
