IEC permits are not extendable as far as I am concerned.

You can not obtain a BOWP without an AOR, although there were some cases that went successful, but they were days away from receiving their AORs. Meaning the officers at CIC could see on the system that applicants are going to get their AORs soon so they issued the BOWPs.

I'm afraid you can not go about this issue without an AOR or LMIA to get another work permit! The only option left on the table is the PNP approval which will grant you a letter stating that you have been nominated and with that letter you can get a work permit.

I would wait for others to reply on this if I were you.

Best of luck mate,

Whomever told you you can get 2 to 5 months on implied status is clearly misleading you. Tops two months and if you apply via paper.

On the other note as I clearly mentioned before, IEC permits are not extendable! Meaning you will not be granted an implied status when your work permit runs out.

Again I will wait for other's inputs on this but meanwhile seek professional advice!

Best of luck mate,
1 You are correct, if the OP continues to work after his/her IEC expires, the OP is subject to being reported and a removal order issued. At that point s/he can probably kiss the PR application goodbye.

Rang CIC and they confirmed tht i will be on implied status once i apply for extension on any visa from inside canada until a final decision has been made.
In my case until i get rejected which going by current waiting times to process forms will be 2 to 3 months . (97 days from looking at people who are getting theirs now)

Unfortunately the CIC agents give out wrong information all of the time. As others have said - no implied status with IEC. You have to stop working as soon as your IEC expires - otherwise you'll be working illegally. Read the thread PMM posted above. Ignoring this advice has ended badly for others. Don't make the same mistake.
