I was granted a Bridging Open Work Permit while awaiting my application for permanent residency. The case type of my visa is 27 and the remarks say: Temporary Resident Status Maintained as per R183(6). Pending APR.
I used EE, am CEC and put Ontario as my preferred destination but am still living in Quebec until a final decision is made. I sincerely intend to move to Ontario and submitted a letter of explanation, proof of job applications, family/friend connections and also a letter of resignation for my current work (activated if granted PR) etc. but I realise that these kinds of applications are often refused unless you physically move to Ontario first...
My question is if my PR application is rejected for some reason does that void my current bridging permit? Or is my permit valid until it expires which would be in February 2017?
Thanks for your help.
