I'm in express entry, in process, with my 1st AOR, but my visa expires on 17th October. So I'm currently applying for an Open Work Permit and the processing times currently states that for a Work Permit Extension with the same employer, an online application will take 117 days to process.
Has anyone already applied for this open work permit visa and got it? How long did it take you to receive it from date of submission?
I know I get implied status once I apply, but I really want to go home for Christmas this year, and if my PR doesn't come through before Christmas, and the BOWP will take till the 26th December to come through, I can't leave the country. ReallyI'm looking to see whether there's any hope it will be processed faster than the stated times on the website.
