I`m trying to understand how the bridging work permit works and if I'm eligible for it.
I currently have an open work permit which will expire in one month, June 4th. Right now I'm waiting on WES to process my diplomas so I can finally finish my express entry profile, which has English CLB 9 and all the requirements, total of 462 points. The profile will probably be submitted 2 weeks before the WP expires.
So my concern right now is staying in Canada working legally while waiting for the PR processing time. I read that after submitting the express entry profile I should receive the AOR letter, how long does it usually takes? Will it be possible to apply for BOWP in time?
My other idea for extending is applying for an extension to my WP, which should have a processing time of 3 months, and because of implied status I could keep working legally, and if declined, I could apply for a visitor visa and wait for the pr results. Would that work? Please give me your thoughts on my situation!
