Hello everyone, this is so much complicated now and giving me too much stressed. I so badly need suggestions or help by experts here. I got my AOR after my implied status expired. As my lawyer suggested, I applied for BOWP one more time with AOR and also paid restoration fees $455. He said I might get this time with the explanation of situation in paper application. I applied in very early of march first week and there is no reply yet. Lawyer says he hasn't got any reply from
CIC. Please help, this is actually killing me!

How early of March you have applied? I presume you applied an online application?

Processing time for a Work Permit Extension online application is: 64 days.
Currently, they reached applications: March 4, 2015
See here for processing times: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp

If you are in an online application, I guess your turn is just around the corner.

No he applied via paper application which takes 3 months.

Of note ......... I don't think you have had good advise. For a BOWP one needs to have a current WP. I don't think one can "restore" status to a WP holder when a WP expires. So you might be in trouble. Hope not though.

Thank you guys for you replies. I did apply paper application. I believe that might put me in trouble but I still wanted to take chance as I got my AOR in four months and things got screwed.

Like Amisnic said, I don't think the lawyer gave you a good advise. Since you don't qualify for a BOWP with an expired WP, it will be an expensive effort & most likely in vain. Except if you can get LMO/LMIA, it is better now to focus on your PR application instead, as well as other things in life. I know that since I was in similar shoes like you before, and made few similar moves.

Personally, I would prefer to handle high priority things like PR application myself, especially my situation won't allow me to make further mistakes there. However professional these experts are, their mistakes are out of our control and hard to track. Even though there maybe some good ones referred by people in this forum, the market is starting to be saturated with those less qualified ones. Meanwhile, if you read enough information from CIC, and ask around people here, you can put your 200% effort there and proceed with less regrets. That way your Canadian dream and future is in your own hand...

Good luck with your application thou! Hope it goes well...

Hello Retwant, I truly appreciate your reply and more thinking on what you said. Its very clear to get possitive reply when even law does not exist to get BOWP after being out of status already. I'm almost leaving the country very soon and will wait for PR in my country. Can you
Please tell me when will I get PR as I applied in October ?

After the refusal of the restoration of my work permit, I went back to my country to visit my family and travelled there for about 2 months. In the meanwhile, I applied for a visitor permit to visit my girlfriend in Vancouver, and to ensure my PR application go smoothly. When I came back, I reviewed again all of my application documents, and even though I am quite fit, I exercised more and eat healthier, just to be in better shape for my medical exam. Also did few other hobbies that I always found excuse not to do when I was busy working: golf, reading, studying, playing pc games, travelling, cooking, etc...

Right now the processing time is about 13 months. Hopefully, you will be the luckier one and got your PR sooner than that. I would recommend you distract yourself with other priorities while waiting. Good luck!
