Hi everyone. I'm on a young professional visa, and just applied for the bridging open work permit. Under implied status. Does my visa convert to an open one. Or can I still only work for one employer?

And is implied status even a thing when coming from a YP visa? My visa ends on September 26th. What happens if my bowp hasn't gotten approved, which it likely won't be in time?

It converts to an open work permit once your BOWP is approved.

Right now you have implied status which allows you to continue working under the terms of your current work permit - meaning only for your current employer. If your BOWP hasn't been approved by September 26, you can continue working for your current employer.

I should have applied for it when I applied for pr then. I waited a month for the r10 to almost be approved(or at least until people who applied a week before me got their medical passed). Now it will be a long time before I have an open visa
