Hi All,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience crossing border with a Uhaul. My girlfriend is moving to Toronto for full time work (she already had a job offer from Canada). I currently have a valid tourist visa. We were thinking to drive a Uhaul with all of my gf’s belongings. I plan to stay with her and then return back after a few days of settling her. I wanted to find out if :
1) Are there any complications of driving a Uhaul into Canada (from US)?
2) Is it advisable that I get into Canada with my gf in a Uhaul on a tourist visa?

Did anyone have a similar experience? Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated!

What's your gf status in Canada?

1) Only if the work permit is refused for some reason. I assume she meets the criteria to apply for a work permit at the POE.
2) What is your status in the US? If your travel with your gf, recommend you bring evidence of ties to the US in case asked to demons you have no plans on remaining in Canada long term.
