For what I researched last year about cases like this , you will need to include your baby on the sponsorship application . Because your husband was not born in Canada (he is naturalized ) is the reason that your baby will not be automatically canadian . But let's wait for others that know better on this to chime in with opinions .

I am Canadian. My children were born outside Canada. Are they Canadian?

On April 17, 2009, the rules changed for people born outside Canada. Children born to Canadian parents while the parent are outside Canada will only be Canadian at birth if:

one parent was born in Canada, or
one parent became a Canadian citizen by immigrating to Canada and was later granted citizenship (also called naturalization).
There is an exception to this rule. It does not apply to children born outside Canada in the second or subsequent generation if, at the time of their birth, their Canadian parent is working outside Canada as an employee of the Canadian government or a Canadian province or territory, or serving outside Canada with the Canadian Forces.

Your baby will be BORN CANADIAN CITIZEN.You dont have do do anything with your spouse application..Just apply for the baby's Certificate of Citizenship and then apply for the Canadian Passport....

I am also naturalized canadian citizen and I had baby last week in India..He is Born Canadian like your baby will be...Good luck and Enjoy....

You may already be a citizen if…

you were born in Canada,
you were naturalized (you immigrated to Canada and later got citizenship) in Canada or
you were born outside Canada after April 17, 2009, but one parent was born in Canada or naturalized in Canada.
You may not be a citizen if…

you marry a Canadian citizen,
you are adopted by a Canadian citizen,
your refugee claim is accepted,
you have lived in Canada as a permanent resident for many years,
you renounced your citizenship and never applied to get it back (see information on resuming citizenship),
you were born outside Canada on or after April 17, 2009, and one or both of your parents was a Canadian citizen, but neither of them was born or naturalized in Canada, or
the Government of Canada took away (revoked) your citizenship.

You are incorrect. The husband is a naturalized Canadian thus considered 1st generation Canadian. So he can pass canadian citizen along to his child. Naturalized Canadians and born Canadians can pass on citizenship.

I don't know where you are getting this. Both parents doesn't have to be Canadian to pass on citizenship. Only one Canadian parent is required. As long as one of the parents is born Canadian or a naturalized Canadian (PR acquired Canadian citizenship) then he/she can pass on Canadian citizenship. In this case, the OP said that her husband is a naturalized Canadian thus can pass on Canadian Citizenship.

Agreed. OP's husband is a naturalized Canadian, so his child is a Canadian citizen regardless of anything else.
