Hello Guys,

Mine medical is scheduled for this FRIDAY while on checking the Blood Pressure at home, I found that mine BP is standing at 140/90 with PULSE around 85-90. Will it be a problem?

Please comment.

Thanks

I am not a physician but as per the previous poster 140/90 is not really a concern unless it spikes consistently way above that. Maybe would suggest when testing at home you do a couple of tests.

When I check mine at home sometimes the first reading is slightly high , then I relax a little for a minute or two before taking a new reading and reading is back in the normal range.

With blood pressure sounds crazy but often just thinking too much about the result increases the reading much same as a visit to the doctor can do.

See here anyway http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/in-depth/blood-pressure/art-20050982

BP 140/90 or higher will result in additional medical tests for you. unless you have any heart issues, high BP will not stop you from getting PPR, but may cost you extra money for additional tests and maybe a little longer to get your ppr (1 month or so) depending on when the additional tests are requested and scheduled. Since you are on the borderline, why go trough the extra hassle? here are some tips to lower BP before your medical exam:

1) if possible, reschedule your medical exam a few weeks or a month later.
2) Eat low sodium food.
3) Avoid processed food
4) Try to lower as much weight as possible through diet and exercise

140/90 is hardly high, maybe borderline hypertension but probably amounts to no health risk even..
Anyways regarding the express entry, I was at 140/90 during my medicals and I passed the medical test.. waiting at IP2 now

You dont have anything to worry about. High/Low BP is not a problem
