Birth certificate?

I have a question on the birth certificate. My country gives me the option to apply for an international one (meaning multi language so no translation needed) however they say that it will only provide the short version of the birth certificate.

So my question is - what information does the certificate need to have on it? Just so I can make the right decision on birth certificate.
