I am an Indian & going to apply for SINP OId whenever it opened but unfortunately I do not have birth certificate for my spouse. Although as per point grid for sinp- oid, age of spouse have no bearing on application as no point will be allocated for spouse s age. I therefore want to know whether can I submit alternate documents like High School certificate / Indian Passport / PAN Card ( all mentioning Date of Birth on it ), Affidavit etc.

Birth Certificate is mandatory.

If you include your spouse in to the application, birth certificate is mandatory for both of you. Same applies to Children as well.
Currently SINP not open yet. So you can still apply for Birth Certificate and get it in 1-2 months.

Guys, anyone who got SINP nomination without Birth Certificate by providing some alternate. I know it is mandatory , but just trying to understand if there is any hope for my application.

I attached Affidavit, 10 th Certificate, Passport and Letter of Explanation that I do not have birth certificate.

I didn't wait for them to reject. I submitted new application after enquiring with SINP.As per SINP , as alternate you can submit date of birth not found certificate from authority with two alternate birth proofs like 10th certificate and your voter ID card with dob. Passport and affidavit are not acceptable as alternate proofs.

I inquired with SINP and received the following response from them .

The Birth Certificate documentation must be showing your name, date of birth, and name(s) of parents. Acceptable documents are:
- Education Documents with birth date and parent’s name;
- I.D. Cards (with date of birth and parent’s name);
- National Voting Card; and
- Family/Household Register

Here, they haven't mentioned about "birth not found certificate from authority with two alternate birth proofs" . Based on their response, I understand, they just need a document showing your name, date of birth, and name(s) of parents.
Its actually quite relaxing and simple. Perhaps, with Federal you might need all that Non availability of BC etc etc.
