Hi.

My wife is wanting to invite her father to come to Canada (from the Philippines) to visit, but we are wondering about two specific issues.

1. When she was born, she was not registered and as such did not receive a birth certificate. When she was applying for university, she had to get a birth certificate and so registered but was told by her mother (parents had separated years before) that her father's name was Anacleto, and so was issued a birth certificate with her father listed under that name, however it turned out that all of his ID was issued under the name Samuel.

The Super Visa application requires proof of parentage and as it currently stands her father's ID and her birth certificate don't match due to confusion from the mother. Will this be a killer for the application?

2. Proof of income states that they need a NOA, but she is a stay at home mother and as such has $0 income. I make more than enough money to meet the requirement. Can we give my NOA and proof of marriage rather than giving her NOA?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Possibly yes.

1. She can include a copy of her parents' marriage certificate + an affidavit that states Anacleto and Samuel are the identity of the same person for the ID proofs A, B and C.

2. What name did she state in her visa applications?

2. Proof of income states that they need a NOA, but she is a stay at home mother and as such has $0 income. I make more than enough money to meet the requirement. Can we give my NOA and proof of marriage rather than giving her NOA?

You can co-sign and co-invite her dad for a super visa. You must include proofs that you meet the income requirements + a copy of your marriage certificate + your immigration status/passport, etc + similar documents from your wife
