Birth Certificate Affidavit

Hi,
I do not possess birth certificate and i have applied under CEC by providing certificate of DOB from CGI, Vancouver. However, Sydney sent an AOR and file is transferred to CPP-O for further processing. ECAS says, "Application Received". Now i have got an Affidavit signed by my mom and attested by Notary Public in India (not in the same city where i was born).
1) Is it OK if the affidavit is attested by a notary public? Or should someone else attest it?
2) Will it be OK to send this additional document at this stage?

I think ,its not advisable to sent the DOB's at this stage. CIC will ask you, if CIC want any additional docs.

I would suggest wait for their query and then respond if they ask for it as we shoould not confuse them now with affidavit etc..
