I sent my application for a temp. residence visa on the 20th of this month and I received an email that I need to give my biometrics. I live in a country where the VAC does not do biometrics, so I have to visit the closest country which is 2 hours away for the biometrics.
I have contacted them by email and received no replies. I contacted them by phone and the message was pretty much "we don't have enough resources so we're not going to answer your call and you can't leave a message either. Bye!". I actually got through to some lady in a nearby country and she literally just hung up on me while I was in mid-sentence
Now i'm not really sure what to do because the email I received said that my application would be cancelled automatically if my biometrics are not received in 20 days and time is ticking away. My intent was to call them to book an appointment before visiting. I just don't want to spend my money travelling to another country to get there and be told to go back and come another time because I didn't book an appointment.
Is there a secret to contacting Canadian embassies? Because i've even tried contacting other embassies and visa application centres in other nearby countries and they do not respond to emails and their phone either rings for an infinite amount of time with no answer or someone answers just so they can hung up or they say they don't recieve phone calls which is just dumbfounding because why have a phone number if you don't use it? ???
