My mother did her biometrics in November 27th and the officer told her that the scan was done correctly and there was no issue. After 16 days we received a letter of a retake appointment because of issues with the biometrics . I was so frustrated because she needs to travel by air to get to the VAC center as it’s very far from her residence. and if she won’t be able to go within 30 days, the application will be rejected. I’m wondering why they took that long to inform us about the quality of the scan while the officer could tell her immediately and do another retake. I have a representative her in Canada for handling the application for a parental visit visa but she didn’t suggest anything . Is there anyway to get an exemption because it’s the center responsibility to do multiple attempts for the scan and inform her if the quality was poor. Especially my mom has diabetes and she’s 74 years old. Thanks
