Biometrics not being updated to 'Completed'

We did our biometrics appointment Jan 14 2025, and there was pretty much immediately a "Biometrics enrollment date" with the ID showing in PR Tracker, but over six weeks later it still doesn't show as "completed" in PR Tracker. GCKey still says "we haven't received your fingerprints", though I know GCKey tends to be really slow in updating.

I've asked a few people and it seems like biometrics usually updates to "completed" just a few days after the actual biometrics collection appointment.

The biometrics were taken at a USCIS field office (this is an outland PR application). I contacted USCIS to verify if they sent the biometrics to IRCC but they said they can't help me without a USCIS case number. I sent a webform message to IRCC but still haven't heard a reply.

Is this abnormal for it to take this long between biometrics collection date, and biometrics updating to "complete" in the PR Tracker website?

We verified the information on file and are pleased to confirm that the biometrics were received by the responsible office.

Furthermore, we verified the information on file and can confirm that your application is currently at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, for processing.

Rest assured that they will contact you as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is required.
