Biometrics Invitation Letter Received, But no passport as it's with BLS for Renewal

Am in a situation were my spouse had submitted her old passport for renewal as it had only 6 months for expiry. Since we got BIL from IRCC, do Service Canada accept old passport xerox and passport renewal fee receipt as proof along with work permit? Also, will IRCC provide extension to submit Biometrics in this case?

Am in a situation were my spouse had submitted her old passport for renewal as it had only 6 months for expiry. Since we got BIL from IRCC, do Service Canada accept old passport xerox and passport renewal fee receipt as proof along with work permit? Also, will IRCC provide extension to submit Biometrics in this case?

I am in same situation and my BIL is valid until mid next month. I did try walk in but got to know they don’t accept soft copy of passport. If you get some information about extension of BIL, do share with me
