I'm currently in Canada working on a closed work permit (IEC - Young Professionals) which is non-renewable and non-extendable. This work permit is due to expire in early may.
I'm also in the EE pool with 441 points, waiting for an invitation to apply. My plan is to get the ITA, apply for PR, apply for a bridging work permit shortly after and continue working for my current employer while my PR application is being processed.
My question is: Since the biometrics requirements for Canada have changed beginning Jan 1st (I am South American), I'm now required to give my fingerprints. If I apply for a bridging work permit, will I have to leave the country in order to give my fingerprints? I saw that Canada still don't have collection centres so they were not requesting fingerprints from people applying for PR inland. Does that apply for work permits as well?
Thans in Advance.
