My wife received a letter saying she must pay biometrics within 30 days for the second time this year. The email says they may refuse her application if she fails to provide the requested information. However, she has made biometrics in June. I suppose she would not be asked about biometrics again. The biometrics were made for a visitor visa and she is applying for permanent residence. It sounds like an automatic email, but there is nothing to do except pay the fee.
This paragraph makes me think the email is automatic because of the dates:
"On July 31st, 2018, biometrics(fingerprints and a photograph) became a requirement for some IRCC applicants. Your application was received on or after July 31st, 2018. After a summary review of your application, it was determined that requirement applies for you."
What should we do?
