I have submitted my documents to CIC EE portal. It has been a bit over month that I submitted all my documents. Day before yesterday they asked for my finger prints to be submitted to CCRTIS through an agency and in a letter they asked to follow the link (http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/steps-getting-a-certified-criminal-record-check) . Here I have to manually collect my fingerprints from my local police authority in Bangladesh. Then I would have to send the doc to the authorised RCMP agency for background check and then they would send me back the background check file for me to upload to my CIC profile.
Anyway, The very next day CIC sent me another request for biometrics of fingerprints to be submitted at Visa Application Centre(VAC) which would be VFS in Dhaka Bangladesh. I read online that biometrics(fingerprints) taken by VFS are forwarded to RCMP. Now I am confused why would they ask for fingerprints twice through VFS and CCRTIS agency since both the times, my fingerprint would be going to RCMP for background check. Hoping someone would shed some light on this matter.
