Biometric Consent form during passport submission <VFS India>

Hi All,

I have received a letter stating that I need to submit my passport. I have one question regarding the same. While going through the VFS website for passport submission procedure, it details that I need to sign a consent form. This form has three parts
- A normal VFS handling passport consent
- A consent is case a representative is submitting the passport
- A consent for whether you agree or disagree to give biometrics.

I will be submitting passport for dependants (Spouse and Child) and they will not be accompanying me. Do I need to fill the biometric consent form? The email received from IRCC does not have any mention of biometrics and hence I am confused. Are there biometric carried out at VFS during passport submission, and hence will I have to take my spouse and child with me for submission?

Hi,
The biometrics are not done during passport submission. You can submit passport for dependents.
