Hello Everyone -

As our new Canadian government promised to rivert the C-24 bill that was passed in July 2015. Does anybody is having any information on when new regulations will be coming out. I am permanent resident of Canada looking forward for my application of Canadian citizenship. But to qualify for it, I need the time period of my previous stay on student permit and work permit accounted.

Your feedback on same would be highly appreciated.

No - there's no information yet on when we can expect this change.

Keep in mind that even under the old rules, you still needed at least 2 full years of physical residence in Canada after becoming a PR to qualify to apply for citizenship.
