My scenario is as follows:
I have 23 months experience in NOC 2171 on a PGWP and also a 2 year FT Masters degree. However, I am going to change jobs again to an NOC 2171 in a different Province.
That being the case, can I apply for my CEC PR while I am in between jobs (say serving my notice here or during the 1-week gap before I join the new company).? I want to do that since joining the new company will mean I will have to ask for the Reference letter, which they may not like if I ask during my first day or so.
I have all the requisite documents, IELTS, birth certificate. Applied for a PCC too.
Also, if I do apply in between jobs,
a. Should I mention on my forms about the new company, as it is not effective the day I am applying
b. When should I inform CEC about the new job, immediately after joining or only after I receive my Reference Number
