Hi,
My goal is to make sure that ultimately in my Canadian passport my last name is spelled differently from my home country's travel document. Is this possible?
Here are the details: my last name ends with -skY, like Levitsky, Kovalsky etc. And that's the way I want it eventually to be spelled. But due to certain stupid transliteration rules my travel document and consequently COPR all have it spelled like -skIY. To complicate things further, my wife who has my last name, has it spelled like -skAYA. And we'd like to go both under the same last name.
We're landing in about a week. What's the best time and procedure to change our last names spelling? I don't want to miss the opportunity, if any, to do that while landing.
