Hi all,
Myself and my common law partner are about to start our PR process and I was wondering if anyone could help with the best route to take?
Originally, the plan was for myself to be the principal applicant as I have been in a managerial position since last September which means I will have my 1 year complete before our application goes in. However, I was under the impression that I was NOC code 0 and it turns out, I'm not. I'm manager in an office and therefore I come under NOC code B.
My partner is NOC code A but has only been working here in Canada for 3 months in that role. He struggled to get into his field when we first got here so he was working as a laborer. He has years of experience from home in his profession with NOC A code - would that help towards PR or is it only possible if you've been in the job for a full 12 months in Canada?
Essentially at this stage we're trying to decide who should be the primary applicant considering we both have the same level of education etc.
Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated,
Tina
