hi Leon,

in which terms better? is it faster?Easier?less waiting time?cheaper?

i know the sponsorship and immigration is FEDERAL issue and not provincial! am i right?so the law should be the same?

Can you advise please

also i have related question, if i settle down in Ontario let us say for the first year, then i shifted to Saskatchewan and settle down then i can sponsor the family from there right?

if Saskatchewan is faster in process, then better to a person to go to Saskatchewan and sposnor his wife from there?

Thank you Leon, we always meet each other in different topics :)

Immigration is federal but provinces can have their own programs (Provincial Nominee Programs = PNP's) where you qualify to apply for PR more easily. Since I wrote that reply, SK has changed it's rules and now requires even family sponsored nominees to have a job offer now. MB doesn't last time I checked.

SK and MB are the only provinces that have a family stream under the PNP's. That allows you to sponsor adult siblings, adult children, even cousins, nephews and nieces as well as aunts and uncles as long as they meet certain requirements for age, skills, education, settlement funds etc. You also must have lived in the province for at least one year and you can only sponsor one family at a time, say you sponsor your brother and his family, then you must wait until your brother has landed as a PR before you can sponsor for example your sister and her family. Your brother can of course also sponsor once he reaches one year in the province. However, they want people who will settle in the province so if someone you have sponsored leaves the province, you can not sponsor more people after that.

You can read about the requirements of both programs here:
