Best option to apply for Permanent Residency?

Hi,

I am on a 2 year IEC working holiday visa in Vancouver, Canada (I am from Australia) and it expires in July. I have already received my LOI approving my next application for another 2 years. Once I get that renewed I really want to start my application for PR but am not really sure what the best option would be for me.

I have a permanent full time job as a receptionist at a hospital and have been working there for 1 1/2 years. My brother lives here also and he has permanent residency (he was sponsored by his employer as he qualified as a skilled worker doing some kind of IT work). I'm not sure if him being a permanent resident will help my app in any way? I know he cannot sponsor me.

Please let me know what option you think is best for me...also any help in working out what my job is classed as under the NOC - I am finding it very confusing!

Thanks,
Jess

OK...so I've been doing your homework for you....LOL. Looks like Hospital information clerk is NOC 1453-C.

It is a shame that your position isn't in a hotel, NOC 6435, as Front Desk Clerks qualify for BC PNP after working for 9 months full time. Check out BCPNP for all the rules and see if you can make something fit. Good Luck.
