Best option for transferring money from the EU to Canada

Hi,

I have sponsored my husband who lives in Finland. Our application has been approved and he will be moving here soon.
We are unsure about what is the best option for us when it comes to transferring his money from his bank account in Finland to here in Canada. His bank has suggested him to use net banking however he can only do that after he lands and gets a bank account here in Canada. He would like to bring all the money in his first landing so he would have no questions asked and to avoid any questions from the bank when transferring a big amount as a PR.
If anyone has any suggestions please do help and share your own experience.

Open HSBC Premier accounts both in London, UK and Canada. Then you can transfer funds between the two countries instantly. There would be no questions from HSBC either side.

International remittance to any bank world wide is easiest. Use IBAN, or account number with swift code etc.

I believe the HSBC premier requires 100K minimum in personal assets with HSBC....so not too easy for a lot of people.

Thank you to the both of you for helping me out.

We do have an account at HSBC, but it is not premier so that option is not possible for us.
I think we will stick to money transfer online as our best option.
