Hi,

In India, according to bank rules, demand draft/cheques are valid for 3 months, and ONP ask for payment mode which has at least 6 months of validity.

So in this scenario, what should be the best way for making payment of ONP fee?

Foreign Currency Bank drafts are valid for 6 months. You can get it easily from SBI or ICICI.
Only INR cheques/drafts are valid for 3 months. There is already a thread of discussions about the same.

Get your bank draft from ICICI Bank, theirs are valid for 6 months. Foreign currency bank drafts issued from India are generally valid for 6 months unless and until mentioned otherwise. I got mine from ICICI Bank.

That sounds promising to me. I wonder why ICICI officials gave wrong info.
I think the guidelines that they are referring to are applicable to domestic bank drafts and not foreign currency bank drafts.
