Hello!
I've lived in BC for 6 years, and got my PR 1.5 years ago.
I am moving to Montreal in December, as I am planning to do my Masters at Concordia.

I've researched the logistic of the move and I understand that it is easy to transfer MSP and drivers license to those of Quebec. However, I am confused with this "Quebec Resident" thing and its 14 scenarios. Becoming a resident of BC was much easier :)
What kind of perks does it give you besides cheaper education?
Is it common to live, work, and be a student in QC without getting it?
If I apply for my Canadian citizenship (I will be eligible to in a year), would I still need to get the QC residency?
Also, from what I understand, I don't have to be a Quebec Resident to be eligible for the free French courses - being a new PR of Canada is enough (I am planning to take those after my move and before I start at Concordia).
Unfortunately, as I am planning to be a full time student at Concordia, it looks like I won't be eligible for the QC residency any time soon, and I hope I can still make a living in that beautiful province.

Thank you!
