Date: September 13 2016; Immigration Officer ID: 41022 LBPIA , a female

I Dilbagh Chahal a British citizen, a retired Head of Maths from a London Comprehensive, have visited Canada dozens of times since my first visit in 1971 when I entered from the USA. I got a lot of family and friends including my IT consultant son who live in Canada. There has never been any problem with my visits as I always speak the truth and talk straight . I find Canadians in all walks of life quite friendly.
On Sep 13, 2016, I arrived at Pearson at 2.40 pm on Air Canada flight AC 857 from London Heathrow. A hard of hearing man joined the queue and asked me some question and I tried to explain to him in a manner so that he can hear clearly. This Immigration Officer said very loudly 'Stop Shouting' and I did so but felt that this woman was very aggressive. I believe that an Immigration Officer has every right ask any questions. This woman asked me, 'what do you do' and I replied , 'I am retired and I worked as a maths teacher'. This Immigration Officer sent me to the place where new immigrants or some dodgy visitors are questioned.

I would like to know the reason(s) as to why somebody like me who goes to Canada only to spend money was sent there. The queue in that place moves at a snail's pace and it took me two hours to reach the counter. Only half a minute was needed by this intelligent Immigration Officer to stamp my passport. I left Toronto on 24th Sep 2016 and am back in London now.
I would also like to know as to what action is being taken against such an officer? I would be quite happy to supply any further information that you might need to clarify the situation. In my view such unprofessional and vindictive behavior should not be allowed at an international airport.

Hi,

As this is a public forum, please delete personal details and references.

Any visitor can be referred for secondary inspection for a variety of reasons. Not just dodgy visitors.... or because you spoke loudly. This is a normal part of the travel process. It happens even at London Heathrow. So try not to feel offended by it

Cheers
