Background: We're moving to Canada in 2 weeks. Dh is American, I am Canadian and we have 3 children together. I would prefer to apply inland, but am worried about getting dh across the border with all of our stuff in a moving truck (the whole family are crossing together). Our outland application is ready to go.

Can I pay online for an inland application, have all of the application printed out and ready to go and cross that way? Or will that raise even more red flags?

I posted an answer but then deleted it because I'm confused about the details.

I thought I read earlier that you and the kids are flying here. But it sounds like you're all planning on crossing by car/van together? Is the latter correct?

I just read through your older posts. I see where I got confused. You're flying down and then you're all planning on crossing together.

Since you are crossing together, I think you should be OK filing inland. I would definitely have all of the forms filled out and all of the supporting documentation available to show immigration in case they ask for proof.

As you know, none of us can tell you for certain what will happen at the border. However if you (the Canadian) are there and can show a strong intent to apply for PR then you SHOULD be OK.

To add on, the inland application forms are different from the outland. If you apply inland, you need to get all the forms filled in again.
