BDS (Dentist) info needed - urgently

Hi friends,

A relative of mine is a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with 3 years of experience. She wishes to apply for Canada Immigration. Can someone suggest the steps to see her eligibility and how different is the process from the normal immigration of EE profiles (engineers or MBAs or likewise).

Sorry for a basic post but I am not aware where does a dentist fall in the application process.

Hi..even i am dentist and planning to apply for PR and she first needs to check if she is eligible under federal skilled workers programme and for that she can find the criteria for scoring online. She needs to score atleast 67 points and if she is eligible then check CRS score for express entry.

A dentist falls under the Noc 3113 in the educational category of professionals. Which carries the second highest points after Phd.

Most of the procedure for the application remains the same
The only difference is the work experience letters and the letter of recommendation
If she is working in someone else's clinic, or in a hospital/ college it's easier for her to get them.
You can PM me for the format.

If she is self employed, there is a small road block.. She needs to get affidavits from notaries and the clinic's registration documents in order.

But the other procedures are more or less similar.

You can do it 2 ways depending on the procedure at the university level.

Alternatively, you can apply for the transcript from the university directly, pay the WES fee and receive the case number, send the transcript in a envelop sealed by the university to WES.

Hi Dentists,

Hope you are doing good.

How are you showing the paid mandatory internship. Is it as a part of Work experience or Educational year. Here is my situation and timeline:

Degree Certificate: Oct 2012
Internship: Dec 2012 to Dec 2013
Job: March 2013 to Oct 2014

I am in a situation where my wife had started her job as dentist in between her internship. The dates in internship certificate and work ex are colliding and the organization is denying to modify it. Even if he modifies then the work ex becomes less then a year.

Is there a way or mandatory to show the college internship, or I can avoid that.
