Hello All,
I have a query regarding BCPNP. I have a close work permit based on an LMIA for the position of Electrician. I have 2.5 years experience of as an electrician from back home.
BC PNP recently made the change to give priority to Construction trades to those who as either red seal or registered as an apprentice with skilled trade bc.
I can't get a red seal at this point as I don't have 9600 hours yet to write a challenge exam. My employer in Canada has registered me as an apprentice electrician.
I want to make sure that can i be registered as an apprentice electrician when my work permit says my title is Electrician. Can I apply pnp with apprentice registration?
I am well aware that for an apprenticeship program, you need to go to school and I will be attending school as there is public policy in place for the next 3 years that work permit holders can study with a study permit.
I called BCPNP and they advised me to follow the guide. However, I was able to find a concrete answer in the guide. Any input on this will be appreciated.
