Hi all,
Ok here is the situation :
I am going to canada as a student, my scholarship provider will only issue student assistance once they see a student visa (temp res)
On the other hand I might be getting the PR (if all goes well about the same time)
- Will I be able to get a Temp res visa on the same passport that got the PR on? to show to the scholarship provider?
- If so, will I be able to consider my arrival in canada a landing?
- Could it be done the other way around, temp res stamped then PR?
- If the PR is ready to be stamped after I am in Canada, I understand that I can send in the passport (after interview) to the concerned embassy and have it stamped, do I have to leave the country and come back? I hear I can just get the formalities done at a Canadian port of entry without leaving Canada to another country.
- the other option if the PR takes longer and I am already in Canada, my studies will take years and years, when is the best time to ask for my case to be transferred to Buffalo?
sorry for the hypothetical questions, but don't want to make a mistake that cost me either the scholarship or the PR
best wishes
