My parents only have passport, COPR and SIN as identification. BC Services has a long list of acceptable IDs as primary and secondary

In the Prmary, the only one I can relate to is Record of landing - is that same as COPR?

Coz they have the following as well -

Permanent resident card
Not accepted if expired.
Confirmation of permanent resident IMM5292 or IMM5688 are not accepted as primary ID.

So what do we do? wait til PR card?

Have been they staying in BC for 3 months already? If they do not have PR cards , I suppose they have not. They could get BC Service Card only if they are qualified for MSP. And they will qualify only in the third month of arrival in Canada (BC).

The Record of Landing is an older version of the COPR, IMM1000, issued before PR cards, 2002 and earlier.

It's hard for me to say without looking at the list you are talking about but is it possible that they show their passports as primary ID and their COPR as proof of status in Canada?

The other option is waiting for the PR cards.

They give BC Interim Services Card ( sheet of paper - good enough for meds ) with COPR and Passport - but for Photo Card, one needs PR card and COPR

Then why such a rush? They are covered by BC Health Care.
Never said it's a rush- was only asking

As for 3 months, it's actually remainder of the month of landing + 2 months. They landed on 23rd Jan, and MSP started on 1st April ( Basically in 66 days - pretty fast )
