Just had a quick question. I'm still awaiting my PR from applying on Feb 27th 2014 through the BC PNP (the long wait is almost over I hope) and I just recently gained my new work permit/bridging visa as my old one expired. On my previous work permit it stated my occupation and my current employer, implying that I am unable to work else where as I know that when you apply for your residency through BC PNP you are technically "locked" to your current employer until your residency is accepted.
However on my latest work permit which I received last week, it had the following statments:
Occupation: OPEN
Employer: ANY EMPLOYER
Location: B.C NES
However under the Conditions, Point 3 states as follows:
"NOT AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN ANY LOCATION OTHER THAN STATED"
Does this mean Location as B.C or Location as in my current job?
I know it seems blatantly obviously as stated above that the permit does look like it's OPEN. However I am just sceptical due to the fact I didn't apply for an open work permit, but it now states as above on my new one compared to my older one which had my actual occupation name and employer.
Hopefully one of you will know the answer to this! I currently have a job offer lined up with another company and would hate to turn it down due to waiting for my PR.
